Stabat Mater by Paul Carr
In a programme rich with the perfect choral writing of Elgar and Lauridsen, we proudly present a newly commissioned setting of the ancient religious poem known in Latin as the Stabat Mater. Paul Carr is a composer well-known to The English Arts Chorale after his earlier commission The Lamb became a favourite with the singers. Paul will giving an introduction to his new work at the concert.

Stabat Mater by Paul Carr
The EAC repeats the programme of last week in the vibrant acoustic of St. John's College Chapel, Cambridge. Composer Paul Carr will give an introduction to his new work Stabat Mater, commissioned by the English Arts Chorale and given its world première by them in St Mary's Reigate a week previously.

Organ Transplant

POSTPONED
We were hoping to be able to celebrate the restoration of the mighty Norman & Beard pipe organ in St Mary's Church in this concert, but unfortunately it is not going to be completed in time, and this concert has been postponed to July 14th (see below).
The Singing Day (see above) has been re-arranged for this day.
